Updated sim scam??

Hello. I have received an email saying I need to update my sim as there have been service updates. I got the sim and changed it whilst speaking to someone. I have been watching about a SIM card scam and now worried this isn't legit? Can you please confirm if this is ok. I have two mobiles on my account but have only received 1 sim?

Hi Silversights, welcome to the community! Thank you for posting.

There are many of our mobile customers who have been receiving new SIM cards recently following updates, so this is not at all out of the ordinary. It may be that you will also receive one for your second mobile account in due course.

We will also be able to check the account for you to confirm the SIM any communications you have received from us are legitimate, we will just need to send you a PM to confirm a few account details first.

I will send you a PM now to confirm, we can then return to the public thread with an update as soon as possible.

All the best!

Molly

Hi All, thank you to Silversights for PMing with me.

They confirmed they had spoken to our team on the phone (on 0345 454 1111) who confirmed the legitimacy of the communications from us.

Let us know if there is anything else you need our help with!

All the best.

Molly
