Transferring mobile number to Virgin - WHY THE DELAY?

I received my sim on Monday 30th November having provided my PAC code when I signed up with Virgin and was expecting my existing number to have ported within 24 hours. It's now Thursday and the number has still not updated. Can you please let me know how I can get this resolved asap.

Mobile number still not Ported over, Help!

Hi all,

We recently purchased a new Sim for our Daughter and began the process of porting her number over, this was Monday, it's now Saturday and its still not changed!

We recieved the virgin Sim last saturday but waited until Monday to install it knowing that porting doesn't happen on a weekend. In the past when we've ported a number over it only took, at most 48hrs. Is there currently a delay in transfers?

What I'm after is just Confirmation that the process is happening and the status of that transfer. so if any Virgin employees can help me out I'd be grateful.

Similar situation, apart from being 1 day later than you 😞

There is a link to 'view progress' on the switching page of your number, but that appears to do nothing. (you have to try to trigger the transfer again to see the link)

Hey Stuart,

yeah i saw that, and like you said, it does nothing.

I have also tried to start the process again and that just tells me its already in the process of switching.

Looks like its just going to be a waiting game!

If your change goes through can you note here, at least then I might have the hope that mine will go through within 24 hours after that 😞

Done, ended up texting 07533016422 and after to & fro with security questions the transfers were triggered yesterday around 5PM, were complete this morning.

Mobile Number Porting Issue

Hi, I gave my PAC code to Virgin Mobile when I ordered my Sim a number of weeks ago, I've had the Sim now for week and my previous mobile number has yet to transfer to my new VM sim.

What can I do to speed this up?  My PAC code will soon expire.
