On a regular basis texts sent or received by myself and my daughter (both on VM mobile) either don't get delivered at all or are delivered a day or more after sending! My wife is on Tesco mobile and has just received a message from my daughter sent yesterday. Why is it so unreliable?

I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you and your daughter are having with your text messages.
When did the issues start?
Do you have any signal issues at all? Do you have signal, when the messages are being sent?
Do the issues happen in any particular location or various?
Have either or both of you been sent any new sim cards recently?
