Switching - how long does it take

I recently purchased a phone from Virgin and added my PAC code at checkout to keep my existing number. I activated my new phone Sunday evening, it is now Thursday afternoon and my number has still not switched.  Does anyone know how long this should take? I can't see any chat or way to contact online to find out the answer.
