Switch from 4G to 5G

Hi Virgin,

Is it possible to get a 5G version of my simcard?

I bought a OnePlus 8 Pro 5G and can't seem to get a 5G signal on it. I've checked my phone options and 2G/3G/4G/5G is selected. If I manually look at available networks I can only see 4G variants, i.e. EE 4G, Virgin 4G etc.

I've also checked the coverage with your tool and it looks like this area is covered.

Could you please advise?

I understand that - I actually thought I was already on a 5G contract as if I go to manage my plans, the header states:

Is it possible I just have an incompatible/old SIM?

All done.

SIM was in the list for migration but it couldn't be confirmed when it would actually be migrated. Moved to a slightly cheaper (but better) contract, so win-win.
