Still being charged for a contract

I received a letter for my “final bill” in January, I was charged for 4 months after that. I then cancelled with my bank as Virgin was extremely unhelpful, I couldn’t pass security because I forgot my password that I set up two years ago! Answered every other question correctly. Virgin are still to this day trying to charge me. Why?
