Split Port

Hi everyone, 

I got a new virgin phone last week (from my mums account) which turnt up on friday. I was trying since then to port my old number from EE to my new phone. 

I got a text about 30 mins ago saying it was all done and I was ready to go. 

I can still make calls and texts on my old number - does this mean they have done a split port? Or do I wait till midnight tonight for it to fully go over? 

when I call my old number from my ee phone it goes straight to ee voicemail and the same when I ring it on my virgin phone
