I have a £20 spending cap on mobile account, on two occasions over the last three months my bill has been way over that leaving me in serious financial difficulty. Why has the spending cap allowed me to go over my set limit?

Can I ask when you applied the spend cap to your account?
I did it just after i got the phone well over a year ago. This is not the first time my bill has been over the caped amount but now I'm unemployed i cant afford for this to keep happening
