Sim not valid

Hi, my elderly neighbour has an old style Nokia phone,  Virgin have sent her a new sim card to put in it but it is coming up as 'sim not valid' .

She is very worried that she will be unable to use her phone when you make the switchover, leaving her unable to get in contact with family. She is unable to buy a new phone as she cannot afford it. The current sim card works just fine, can she not just carry on using the one that she already has ?

At some point in the near future the older SIMs will stop working.

I have escalated to the VM forum team, one of the VM staff will be along in this thread to resolve it for you.

Hi Jo Eve, thanks for getting in touch. 


As advised above we can't stop the network-migration process, a new SIM will be required to make sure Gloria's service continues working. Please let me take a look and see what we can do to help.
