Sim card stays live for incoming calls?

Hi, I have the oomph package which includes broadband with sim only with unlimited calls etc.... I'm transferring to the broadband essentials package which is broadband only.   Will my sim card and number remain live so I can receive calls or will it be cut off?

Thanks for your post @KevinManley, and welcome back to our Forums.

The sim card would need to be in a state of being active or deactivated - therefore a monthly charge would be incurred for using the sim card.

Are you looking to keep a mobile phone service with Virgin Mobile, or are you wanted to remove this?
