Help!
I'm in rural France and having problems with my Sim card / Samsung A40! The phone seemed to be working AOK until yesterday afternoon. When I turned it on there was no signal showing and when I checked the A40's setting the Sim Card Manager noted that 'Sim1 - Unknown' and 'Unknown Number'. When I looked at the Mobile Networks page several providers where found but when I tried to connect all showed 'Not Registered on Network'! I've swapped the Sim Card to Sim2 but have had the same results. I've checked my International Calls and Roaming settings on my account and these are as they should for outside the UK.
This is a replacement Sim as I had exactly the same problem earlier this year in the UK.
Can anyone help as there's no landline, so I can't contact Customer Services directly, and I do need a working phone..... RooMoDoo

Apologies for the issues faced RooMooDoo,
Welcome to the community.
Have you tried to manually select a network from your phone?
Also was the phone turned off completely when you checked?
Thanks,

Yes, I tried both manual and auto searches but neither made a connection (other than Not Registered on Network). The phone was turned off prior to swapping the Sim Card to Sim2 and then rebooted. The same in restoring the Sim to Sim1. Surprisingly the phone now allows me to make wifi call when it didn't before. But once I move out of wifi range it shows that I can only make Emergency Call! Any thoughts - R
