No, I'm not getting any error messages. They aren't receiving the messages, and I'm not getting the normal alert that I get when I always send texts to my other contacts (all of my other contacts are UK numbers).

Have you checked your mobile account https://mobile.virginmedia.com/ecare/login to see if there is a spending cap on your account that might be affecting this?
