Sending SMS to another country

Hi,

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to send an SMS to another country from the UK. I was able to do this a few years ago, but they aren't sending now.

I can receive SMS from the number and call them, but they don't receive my SMS.

Thank you for the welcome.

No, I'm not getting any error messages. They aren't receiving the messages, and I'm not getting the normal alert that I get when I always send texts to my other contacts (all of my other contacts are UK numbers).

Have you checked your mobile account https://mobile.virginmedia.com/ecare/login to see if there is a spending cap on your account that might be affecting this?  You can also find out about texting internationally here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/mobile/cost-of-international-calls-and-texts-from-uk
