I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S9 from android 8 to android 9 and now any time I try to send a message it just sits pending. This is happening no matter which recipient I send to.
I can phone fine and everything else seems to be working. But any sms messages are just sitting pending.
Is there a config update that I need to download from Virgin? Has anyone else had this issue?
Make sure the SMSC is set to +447458399008 if you're on the new sim. You can find instructions here, just change the SMSC to the Virgin number.
If it is still does not work, then welcome to the club! We also have issues receiving texts.
I spoke to Samsung support about this and the issue, a force stop and then restart of the message application solved the issue.
Hope this solves other people's issues as well.
