SMS arriving 24 hours late

Hi all

I have been doing online banking and recently when asked for sms confirmation code it arrives 24 hours late

Please help thanks

Do you have WiFi calling enabled?

Try turning it off.

I have this exact same problem with any ‘confirmation’ that is sent via text - banks, credit cards, online shopping etc. Many don’t arrive at all, some are days late. 

I do have WiFi calling enabled, so I’m about to try turning it off, see if that makes a difference. It will be annoying if I have to turn it on and off all the time.

This sounds like it’s the WiFi calling text issue. It’s been like this for months. Virgin are not even acknowledging that there is an issue. If you look across this forum there are many issues relating to texts being late through WiFi calling.

Turning off WiFi calling DID fix the problem of the company texts not arriving.

However, it now means I can’t keep WiFi calling switched on, in case I miss an important text from my bank etc. This is really annoying, especially as we have poor phone signal in my home. 

Why can’t we use both???
