SIm barred

Yesterday I received an email telling me that Virgin & O2 have now merged and that I need do nothing.

This morning I received a text stating that my sim is now barred....

What is going on?

How do I rectify this matter.

I have had this number same mobile number (and been a customer of Virgin) for nearly 20 years.

Re: SIm barred

Hi Ross,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear you are having issues with your Sim card.

I have had a look our end and can only see a Pay as you Go sim with us, is the sim card that has stopped working currently Virgin Mobile or 02?

regards

Paul.

Re: SIm barred

Hello

As a side note if you are on a Pay As You Go SIM then as per the T&C there has to be a chargeable call / text made every 90 days to keep the SIM / number activate, this is in line with the industry standard from all Pay As You Go suppliers although the timeline does vary some are 180 days and some like VM are 90 days.
