I have a new purple SIM card and had some issues with it to start with, mostly resolved, but my use of 6-figure text addresses is still in limbo. Some I can - some fail at once. Today I had to report a landline fault to BT on 61998. It failed, and I had to borrow a friend's Vodafone to do the job. I used to be able to phone or text anybody with the old EE type card. The new service won't text landlines and the history of 6-figure text addresses is mainly that of failure. Is this going to be permanent or will there ever be a SIM card which does all these things again? It's not a good advert for Virgin when you have to have a Vodafone on hand as back-up.
