SIM not arrived

I have received several letters advising me to fit the 'new SIM' but I have not received one! I tried phoning 2 weeks ago but had to give up after an hour. The SIM is for a dongle for the occasional times I need broadband when using my laptop outdoors in poor signal areas - once or twice a year at most. Perhaps it would be better to give up the number
