My sim was working fine in the UK,
I just travelled to Spain, and on arrival turned the phone on, and could only get emergency calls.
I tried to connect to all the available networks and turning the phone on and off a few time.
So I tried the SIM in another phone that uses giff gaff and it worked ok ??
Then tried the giffgaff sim in my phone and that was ok as well.
Put my Virgin sim back into my Samsung s22 and then it connected all ok.
I have now just arrived back in UK and the sim has the same problem. Emergency call only, and unable to connect to any network.
Before I start swapping sims again, can someone suggest a solution.
As if this occurs again and I don’t have another SIM to swap around It's going to be problematic.
Also I read in the forum about a virgin sim tool kit, whic for some reason I dont seem to have this installed.
I do have sim card manager, but all that seems to do is disable the sim, and doesn't fix the problem
thanks

Hi Soda-Bread,
Thank you for posting to us here on the Community.
I am very sorry to hear you have been experiencing an issue using your service, we will do all we can to help.
Was roaming activated prior to leaving the UK?
Now you are back in the UK, can you please manually search for a network via the handset settings?
Please let us know what shows when you run the search.
Thank you,

Hello Nat,
thanks for the fast reply, I was just about to update the post..
I managed to fix the problem.
It was slightly my own making.
I was playing around with "universal android debloater" a while ago and i disabled the sim toolkit as thought it wouldn't be required for anything.
I re-enabled it and then set the roaming to manual and back to automatic and now all good.
Its annoying that you would have to do this manually to connect when abroad, but i now know what the issues was and can resolve it in the future.
Thanks again, and a warning for anyone playing around with a debloater programe as you can cause yourself problems if you're not sure what you are doing.
