SIM card won’t register

Any help please would be appreciated I have oomph SIM card with my Virgin package all was good untill I lost my phone, I contacted Virgin I had new SIM card sent out, sim will not register in phone I have been back and forth on to text message team, 24 hours until I get replies, I can not get through to any customer care person, can somebody please help?
