Hi, I’ve just had a Virgin SIM card and my phone keeps saying no sim. I have to keep switching it off all the time. Can anyone help?

Which phone do you have as some older phones are not compatible with the new SIMs.

I’ve got an iPhone 7
Okay there should be no issues with that phone, now what the problem is likely to be is that the phone is locked to the previous network.
Did you get the phone from virginmedia if so you need to request the unlocking at https://www.virginmedia.com/help/unlock-code-request1
If the phone was not purchased from VM then you will need to contact the previous supplier to request unlocking.
The way iPhones are locked to a network is done on the Apple servers so the telco will make the request to Apple and may take a few days.
Yes I thought that too but it worked straight away when I registered it and then it went off saying no sim. If I turn the phone off and back on then it will work again for a bit then all of a sudden say no sim again?
