iphone X, UK Virgin Mobile not working in Ireland, checked usual settings, Roaming activated,international call barring off, switched phone off and on numerous times but still unable to connect to a network over in Ireland over the last 3 days, got back to UK and contacted Virgin about this issue only to be told they could’nt do anything as I was no longer in Ireland, can anyone please advise to rectify this problem when abroad

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear you weren't able to use your phone while in Ireland, as you have advised your phone was set up and roaming was on the account, did you check to see if there were any area issues there.

This usually works with iPhones

  • Select Settings from the Home Screen
  • Select Mobile Data
  • Select SIM Applications
  • Select Roaming
  • Select Select Mode
  • Select Manual
  • Select International

On return reset mode to Automatic
