Roaming, unable to make calls or send texts (even basic word only ones)

In Canada (received text on arrival 'welcome to USA!' !!). Unable to make calls, calls say 'call ended' after approx 2 seconds, don't connect (roaming on, int calls baring off). Can receive texts, but cannot send (even simple text only ones), message displayed is 'failed, review message and try again'. As far as I can see, APN setup correctly. Anyone help at all ? Worked ok previously, only changes in last 6 months or so is an upgraded SIM sent out (had to swap as old one about to stop working) and switch from paygo to monthly). Samsung s7 phone, software latest version.

Thanks for getting in touch, and welcome to our Community Forums.

Do you know if there is a Spend Cap set on your account? Our Roam Like Home benefit does not cover non-EU countries. Because of this, each call, text, MB of data used would be chargeable. 

If you have a Spend Cap active, then this will be the reason why you are unable to perform these actions as it is preventing you from incurring any additional charges.

You can view more on the Usage Charges for Canada here - you can also update your Spend Cap directly through the My Virgin Media App, which can be downloaded here
