Just back to UK. No phone service for a week 'emergency calls only'.

Login to virgin mobile did not work either.

4g was intermittent and most days did not work. 

Got back to UK and received a text message from Virgin ' Welcome to Croatia' 

Travelling companion with different phone group had no issues.

Thank you for making your first post regarding mobile service in Croatia, I'm so sorry to hear that you had no phone service and your 4G was intermittent. Have you taken a look at: https://www.virginmedia.com/help/mobile/using-virgin-mobile-abroad for more information on using your mobile abroad? Did you check that Data Roaming was switched on?
