I have received a unrequested sim which gives the message '' Invalid Sim'' and can only be used for
SOS calls.I have tried various suggested websites which are not helpful and 789 keeps you hanging
on or puts you through to another website.

Our apologies for any inconvenience with this. Can you confirm did you already have a Virgin Media SIM card? And if yes is the SIM card still active and working?

Sounds like the new SIM needs activating, we can do this via a private message and see if this fixes the issue.
If it doesn't then it might be that the phone needs the unlocking codes, again something we can help with.
