Reception problems.

Lester61
Tuning in

Good morning.

when you used the EE network I received good reception and fast mobile internet.

Vodafone was worse and now O2 barely works at my home address.

I feel the only way forward is to change my provider as I appear to live in a O2 black spot.

Am I able to leave my contract early as I can barely use my phone at my home address.

thanks

Hello Zack

The bottom line is that without Wi-Fi, I can only use phone for calls and internet upstairs or outside which isn’t ideal.

Suppose I’ll just have to wait for things to improve or for my contract to run down - whichever happens first.

Hi @Lester61,

I appreciate that the situation is inconvenient and irritating, and I do apologise. We're always working on improving our services where we can, and whilst we do that in the meantime I'd recommend using Wi-Fi where possible for calls, messaging, and internet use.

Please do let us know if there's anything else that we can assist you with.

Thanks,

Thanks Zach

I have enabled the Wi-Fi for calls.

There will always be winners and losers when the network changes.

Appreciate your help.

I have enabled Wi-Fi calling on my iPhone SE (2020) but there is no indication on the screen that it’s being used and although I can hear callers, they cannot hear me clearly unless I stand outside.

Is there a secret system to enable Wi-Fi calls?
Can anyone assist?

Thanks

Hi @Lester61,

Sorry to hear that you're still having some issues with WiFi calling! I'll do my best to assist and see what I can do to help.

I've sent you a Private Message to confirm a few details. Please keep an eye out for a purple envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page. I'll be in touch soon.

Thank you.

Unfortunately I can’t read the whole email message, I can only see the first few lines. Think I need to log in to my virgin mobile account, problem is I need to reset my password and that system won’t work either - on my iPhone. I can enter one new password but system doesn’t accept the confirmation of same password - I’m stuck as I can’t use Wi-Fi calls and I can’t get into my virgin account.

help.

Hi Lester61,

To confirm, are you referring to the private message over this community site?

^Martin

Yes, the purple envelope.

can’t see whole message on screen.

Have you been able to try this via different devices?

^Martin

Hi

I can log into my virgin mobile account on my iPad.

can I set up Wi-Fi calling there?

thanks…
