I have exactly the same problem. I have just posted on the community but would appreciate any help on how to resolve the issue. I have no mobile network or data and need to use my phone.

Try get into contact with virgin.
sadly, they can’t reactivate the old sim; so just have to sit around waiting for the new one.

Thanks for letting me know. Not great news and pretty terrible service from Virgin.
