If I quite virgin mobile and when I came back from Japan can I use same sim and use same number if I up date again?

No to your second question.

You could get a PAC code and transfer your number to a PAYG network that does not require regular top ups and usage 

You can then PAC back in on your return

That's the only way to keep your number.

Thanks for getting back to us @SUMI.

If you cancel your service with Virgin Mobile and wish to retain your existing mobile number, you would need to port it to another UK based mobile provider. Especially as we no longer sell pay as you go.
