Porting to O2 - Limbo

Finally had the O2 sim sent to us over the weekend, some paperwork said to just put the new sim in and wait, other bits that came with the sim said to activate it which is what I did and text SWAP etc.

Anyway, it looked like the sim porting process was in order, I didn't know that this wont happen over the weekend or bank holiday so I put the new sim in and waited for the number to be updated. This didn't happen (as the weekend) so I put the old sim back in, then a few texts came yesterday, one saying that the process will happen today, but also a text was sent from Virgin Mobile saying that the sim has rolled over.

This phone needs signal today, so the old Virgin sim is back in as now the O2 sim has no signal at all.

I am stuck with what to do, cant go out with no signal, but don't want to stop the porting, also why the rollover/new bill text from Virgin today when this should all be now under o2?

I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with your phone!

 

Have you spoken to O2 at all? As this is an O2 SIM they should be able to help further.
