Porting problem

I’ve recently started a new account and switched a number from 3 to virgin. We got confirmation that the switch had happened on June 17th and when I ring the new number it works. However, when the new number texts mine it shows up as the new virgin number and not the number we had ported from three. It’s not a massive problem as it’s working but it’s bound to cause confusion going forward. Could somebody please advise what the issue could possibly be?
