For the past month I've been suffering poor Internet speed <1mbps even though it says 4g and signal of just 1 bar. A month ago it was great, I've since been issued a new sim (still no good) phones becoming unusable. Also constantly dropping calls...
Based L40, typically issued everywhere though.

I am very sorry to hear that you're facing some issues with your connection speeds recently. However, that screenshot you've provided is of a speed test that's still running, so I'm unsure of what the results of that test were to comment on them further.
Are you having mobile data speed issues wherever you go, or is it only when you're in specific areas?

It stayed below 1mbps.
My typical day it between L40 & PR2 which is about 30 mile diameter. In this area I lose signal all the time and data is usually <5mb of none existant. The new sim didn't improve anything. I've reset network setting all the usual but no joy. Fairly sure it's external off my phone, tried my sim in another phone same issues. I'm on a S22 ultra.
I was told they were working on a mast in L40 but I've been told the work has finished, no improvement. 😞

I'm a programmer, no issues conducting a speed test. The picture was just for illustrative purposes.
At L40 (home) the speed is <1mbps.
I'm currently in PR2 and the speed is 3.6mbps.
