I've seen various posts about recent poor 4g/ Data signal, and have been having the same issue, which has got considerably worse the last few weeks. Always had an excellent service, and have been with virgin 15+ years, but all the mobiles in the household are the same, very poor intermittent signal on 4g. We have 4 phones in our house on the network, and they're all the same. My contract has just come to an end, and I have not renewed for this reason. Anyone been able to solve this issue? I've tried all the usual swapping sim to one on another network, 3 and EE, and have a perfect signal with them.

Hey @Babam1972,
Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’ve been having with your mobile signal and this has made you not renew and leave your contract. We have started a migration from the Vodafone network to the O2 network, this may have been the cause of your issues. When did the issues start happening?
Kind Regards,

Hi Steve
It's been the last few months, but has got worse in the last 6-8 weeks, and as I say its not just my phone, but everyone's in the house. I've tried all the advice online etc, and tried a friends sim in my phone in case, which was fine, but when I've put mine in its still the same.
Thanks.

Thanks for coming back to us @Babam1972, have you recently had a new sim card from us?

Hi @Babam1972
Thanks for your reply
Just to clarify, the SIM worked absolutely fine in your friends handset? Was this a different manufacturer?

Hi Travis
No i tried my friends sim in my phone, which is EE, and had a perfect 4g signal, as I've seen advice on a previous post to try this, put mine back in and poor 4g again. As I've said this is on 4 different phones in the household, All virgin, so it isn't just my phone. I work in a city centre, and can't get a consistent signal at all, which I have been able to for the last 10+ years. I've just got home, and a WhatsApp message has come through, which was sent at 815 this morning.

Hi @Babam1972
Thanks for your reply
Can you run through the coverage checker here please? Let me know how you get on.

With O2 the coverage checker won't tell you if you have poor data speeds.
I've seen 5 bars on O2 and unusable data. It's network congestion in most cases.
You need to find a friend or colleague on O2, Giffgaff or Tesco to see what they get.
If they are OK then it is the interconnect between O2 and Virgin systems. If they are the same then it is the network

Hi Travis
I've checked, and it does say there's a mast down in Swansea at the moment, but to be honest it's been like it for a while, and when I've gone elsewhere in the UK, its the same. My son, who also is having issues, works in Cardiff, and has the same issue every day.
