Please help me cancel contract, within 14 day cooling off period

Hi,

Today I received a phone I ordered from Virgin but my wife is not happy with it.  I called up and was told to wait 24 hours for the number I had asked to be transferred in to be transferred.  However, I no longer want this number transferred as I'm not planning to keep the phone.  So, we have removed the sim from the phone and went online and clicked "cancel transfer" in the Virgin Mobile account, and it now says there that the number will not transfer in.

I'm having difficulty getting through to talk to someone on the phone, spent a long time on hold today, but am aware that I need to return the phone within a 14 period, so there is some urgency required on my part to make this happen.

Does anyone know how to return a phone/contract to Virgin? 

Should I continue trying to call 0345 600 0789?

Please help.

Update: spoke to customer support to day who were very helpful and are sending a return package.

Happy with the outcome today, thank you Virgin!
