Phone number not updated on SIM

I transferred my number yesterday and all appeared to go well but my phone is still showing the temporary SIM number and not the number that I transferred.

Thank you for checking this @robin28. 

As this is working on the old handset we would suggest that this is an issue with the handset.

You can try a factory reset but we would only advise doing this if you have backed up the device and are happy to do so. 

Otherwise it would be best to reach out to the place you purchased the handset from?

I've done a partial reset - Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

And that has cured the problem and the phone is now showing the correct number.
