Phone Number Shut Down

My wife's phone number has be deactivated without any notification, just found out today when trying to call the phone. I few weeks ago I got a text message on MY phone saying THIS number (ie my number) will be suspended 3rd Dec. I was assured all was OK when I queried it via this community and calling customer service.

Just what my disabled wife needs.

Re: Phone Number Shut Down

Do you know what type of SIM card is in your wife's phone. Is it the old Red pre Dec 2017 type or the later with a purple flash

Re: Phone Number Shut Down

Right that's a new one so nothing to do with the SIM upgrade.

Assume it is not PAYG as the only other reason I know for cutting off is when a PAYG phone has not sent a call or text for over 90 days

Re: Phone Number Shut Down

It is (was) a 40Gb Omph SIM. I a bit peed off now, I have been in contact with the 'Help, via text (after getting past the bot) and after about 30 mins she has gone on her 15 min break!

Re: Phone Number Shut Down

Best thing with Oomp is to ring 150 from a Virgin landlines if included in your package and ask for the Ooph team

Re: Phone Number Shut Down

After two hours of text messages plus a 15 min break I have now been told to call the Oomph team - Brilliant!

I asked how do I do that and an after 10 mins still waiting for a reply. I dial 150
