Partially ported mobile number

I recently moved from EE Mobile to Virgin Mobile as part of a bigger move from PlusNet to Virgin Media ... Ultimate Oomph.

I'm just about there now, but it appears that the porting of my old EE mobile number has not completed successfully.  I appear to be able to make and receive call, but, although I can receive texts sent to my old number, if I reply of send a new text, it appears to come from the number originally assigned to my Virgin Media SIM.

I only found out when I got a few "Who is this?" responses to my outbound texts.

Anyone else experienced that?  And, if so, what did you do to get it sorted?

Re: Partially ported mobile number

Hello

If you have an iPhone the Apple servers do not dynamically adjust the phone number once the port completes, if you do have an iPhone can you please do the following.

1) Log out of your Apple ID.

2) Turn off the iPhone and then turn it back on.

3) Log into your Apple ID.

Doing this will force the change of the phone number on the Apple Servers.

Regards Mike
