Parked Order

I have just tried to upgrade my daughter’s phone as her contract ended last month. I have been a loyal Virgin customer for many years with 3 phone contracts, TV, broadband and home phone. I called this morning and ordered an iPhone 13 pro 256 gig. I was told that I had the highest credit score possible and once I had returned the details in the email I was to be sent, the phone would be delivered tomorrow. However, with all the products that I and my wife currently pay for and subscribe to with virgin, I was surprised to get an email telling me that my order had been “parked.” When I called thinking it must be a mistake, I was told it was a security issue and that I would be called within 48 hours to resolve the matter. WHAT ? !! What possible security issue could you have with me after all these years? I’ve never missed a payment. I’ve lived at the same house for over 20 years and had the same bank account for nearly as long. Come on Virgin. Is the phone out of stock or something? If so, offer me an alternative. Don’t “park” my order and tell me stories. If something is not dispatched by tomorrow evening I shall be moving all my phones which are all out of contract and possibly giving another TV provider a call.

Hi ChrisC64, thanks for the message and welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear that the number is parked and this can be for a number if reasons. Card details may not have been entered correctly etc. Can you confirm if you have signed the credit agreement which was sent via email? ^Chris

Hi, 

I haven’t even got as far as a credit agreement email yet. The order was parked before that was even sent. I’m just trying to upgrade an existing phone. I’m not a new customer. I have another phone too plus TV, broadband and home phone so you have all my details and have had them for many years. That is why I’m confused. I passed the credit check and I literally have no details I could give you that you don’t already have. 
I really hope that this can be cleared up today and that I can get the phone tomorrow.
