I have just tried to upgrade my daughter’s phone as her contract ended last month. I have been a loyal Virgin customer for many years with 3 phone contracts, TV, broadband and home phone. I called this morning and ordered an iPhone 13 pro 256 gig. I was told that I had the highest credit score possible and once I had returned the details in the email I was to be sent, the phone would be delivered tomorrow. However, with all the products that I and my wife currently pay for and subscribe to with virgin, I was surprised to get an email telling me that my order had been “parked.” When I called thinking it must be a mistake, I was told it was a security issue and that I would be called within 48 hours to resolve the matter. WHAT ? !! What possible security issue could you have with me after all these years? I’ve never missed a payment. I’ve lived at the same house for over 20 years and had the same bank account for nearly as long. Come on Virgin. Is the phone out of stock or something? If so, offer me an alternative. Don’t “park” my order and tell me stories. If something is not dispatched by tomorrow evening I shall be moving all my phones which are all out of contract and possibly giving another TV provider a call.
