my online account says that my PAC code has successfully been transferred however my friends are telling me that my number has not changed- why is this?

Sorry to see that there's been an issue with your PAC code. Can you tell me what kind of handset your using?
If this is an iPhone you may need to update your phone number manually in the settings menu on the handset
