O2 contract

I recently upgraded my Virgin TV, broadband and landline package. I now have a contract with Virgin and a contract with 02, for a SIM card / new number, with the overall cost being the same as my old Virgin contract.

I have spoken to a Virgin operator today, who advised me that my separate Virgin mobile account, can now be incorporated into my new 02 account, retaining the two numbers I have on the mobile account, which will save me the monthly cost of these (£18) as the cost will be covered by the £25 per month O2 cost.

is this correct does anyone know ?

Hello Darrenmj

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.

We can only bring one Virgin Mobile over to O2 sim.

If you have a handset loan you will still need to pay that off.

How do I go about transferring one of my Virgin mobile numbers, onto my O2 SIM card only account ?

Hello Darrenmj.

There are three ways to request a Virgin PAC Code:

Online: You can get a PAC Code from Virgin by logging in to the Virgin Mobile Account website.
By Text Message: You can get a Virgin Mobile PAC Code sent to you via SMS text message. Text PAC followed by your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format to 65075 to receive a PAC Code from Virgin.
By Phone: You can get a PAC Code by calling Virgin Mobile. To do this, call them on 789 using your Virgin handset. Alternatively, dial 0345 6000 789 from any other phone. You'll need to call during Virgin's opening hours (Monday-Friday 8am-11.59pm, Saturday 8am-11.59pm, Sunday 8am-11.59pm).

So this would leave one of the mobile numbers still on Virgin, costing 50% of the £18 monthly charge i.e. £9.

As an alternative, if I cancelled the 02 SIM card priced at £25, would this affect my overall Virgin Media bundle / package price ?

Hi there @Darrenmj

Thank you for popping back to us and to clarify yes this would change your deal.

As your O2 SIM is part of the Volt package it will need to be active to keep the bundle.

Thank you

Thank you for all of your help.

No problem @Darrenmj
