O2 billing for Virgin sim covered by my Ultimate Oomph package

Virgin said that nothing would change when my mobile sim (which is part of my all-inclusive Ultimate Oomph package) was taken over by O2. So why are O2 now telling me that my mobile bill for this month is £24.98 when this was previously covered in my Virgin Media package?

Had the same issue yesterday. Was very obvious as O2 and Virgin DDs both went out on the same day. The Virgin one was full amount and the o2 dd was new. So obvious they had taken double amount. Called them up and my next dd bill for Virgin will have double the o2 sim taken off. Then the month after will just have 1month of o2 off it.
Thought it was very poor to take the amount out twice in 1 month. Didn’t really get a straight answer out on why. Best you call to make sure they are doing the same for you. All it’s really highlighted is that I am paying too much for a sim that I don’t need unlimited data on. I’ll be looking to change that now.

Hi @nelliebob

Your overall price will remain the same. The price you pay VM going forward will have a credit applied for the same amount you are now paying to O2.

For example, if you paid £132 for your overall single Oomph bill from Virgin Media, you’d now pay £25 for your airtime bill from O2 and £107 for your broadband, TV and home phone services from Virgin Media.

Hey nelliebob,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your billing since your sim card was taken over by O2. I would be happy to take a further look into this for you from the Virgin Media side of things but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
Kind Regards,
