I’ve just taken a contract out and I’ve found that if I am on a call unless I’m connected via WiFi I can not browse the internet etc.
ive never has this issue with my previous providers and this is the first time I have been with Virgin Mobile.
can someone help me please 😊
There is an old thread about this. No real answers other than throughput on 3G
Virgin have to drop to 3G to make calls so that will also entail the data dropping back from 4G to 3G too. I suspect that's when the loss occurs
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media. Learn more

When I had a Virgin SIM in my phone, dropping back to 3g for calls - data continued working fine at 3g speeds.
It was when the phone needed to drop to 2g to take the call - was when data stopped completely.
Has anybody got a resolution to this problem? I've just signed up and got an iphone 11.
if there isn't solution I cant see the point of staying with virgin media as I'm still in the 14 day cancellation period i can cancel
Thanks for your post and welcome.
If you change to 3G (as per the below instructions) are you able to browse the internet whilst on a call?
Select Mobile Data.
Select Mobile Data Options.
Select Voice & Data.
To enable 3G, select 3G.
This hasn't worked sadly. Thanks for your help anyway.
