No sim card received with my new phone

Hello,

 

My husband's new phone arrived from Virgin Mobile in the post today. There is no SIM card with it. It needs a Nano sim card. He is an existing Virgin Mobile customer and wants to keep his old phone number. His old phone has a micro sim card. Was he supposed to receive a new SIM card with the new phone? Will it arrive separately? I have tried calling 789 but it seems the call centre is closed.
