Since I've moved house, most of the time I am getting no signal at all. When i try to call I get 'not registered on network'. Have tried many fixes including restarting, toggling airplane mode, resetting network settings. Sometimes after restarting I get signal and 4g for approx 1 minute before it goes down to 0 again. When I am on WiFi, my phone displays signal bars but I still cannot make calls. Have tried the sim in an older phone and I get the same problem. I can't call virgin to sort this out for obvious reasons. My phone is a galaxy s21+.

Do you have WiFi Calling activated on your account and phone? Technically that should sort out your immediate problem.
