Thank you for making your first post regarding your SIM issues, I am so sorry to hear that your services have stopped working.
May I ask if you are a Pay As You Go customer?
Have you checked the Vodafone Service Status https://www.vodafone.co.uk/network/status-checker for issues displayed on there that may be causing this?
