No phone signal in own home

I live in Erdington and can’t even get phone signal in my own house. Missing lots of phone calls and can’t send texts. My Mrs couldn’t even be informed about the birth of her brothers child because of it for hours. Is this common and what can be done???

Re: No phone signal in own home

Is this recent or an ongoing problem?

If recent then check here for network problems https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/networkchecker/checkservice

Re: No phone signal in own home

Right. You may be in an unfortunate position. The OFCOM coverage map may give you a better indication of signal. Use EE. However there is a slight difference between EE and Virgin as the later does not have access to 800Mhz which works better indoors.

Re: No phone signal in own home

Normally 1 bar but then cuts out and is all distorted during call attempts. And people can’t even phone us and we are unaware they have tried till they tell us the next day in person.

Re: No phone signal in own home

I see other posters have commented on some problems that EE may be having in your part of the world, I'd hope this is the case and all is resolved soon. How long have you had your Virgin Mobile for, I'd just be concerned if you've only just taken this out and can't sensibly use your 14day return policy on the off-chance this ends up being a long-term problem.
