No one can hear me on voice calls. Facebook Messenger works poorly also

A description of my issue. No one can hear me when i ring people or when people ring me. This is very frustrating when my daughters school is trying to ring me. Its been happening for 2 weeks (suddenly happened). Prior to this it was fine. If someone tries to ring me via Facebook messenger then its only just slightly better but still awful. I have full signal. Ive tried on WIFI calls and on 4G, it makes no difference.

Would it please be possible if someone can check this is an issue in the area? Its 100% of all voice calls which no one can hear me. I did try ringing customer services but they couldnt hear me(!)

At a guess, perhaps its a SIM issue rather than network problems? Any help would be fabulous.

Thanks for posting, and sorry to hear you're having some issues with your mobile. 

Are you able to test your SIM card in a different phone handset to see if the issue persists.

When on the phone can the other person hear you okay?

Unfortunately I dont have another handset to test with. Let me just confirm. I can hear people just fine , Outgoing and incoming calls I can hear just fine. Its the other end which people cannot hear me. I thought perhaps it maybe a Mic issue on handset? I thought perhaps Sim maybe the easiest to confirm first since I cannot try with another handset.

Thanks for coming back to us @SmoothHound69, this does indeed sound like a mic issue on your handset, as oppose to a sim card issue.

My advice would be to test the sim card in a different handset where possible, or if you're handset is still in warranty, take it directly to the manufacturer to see if they can look into any possible repairs.

We would only issue out a new sim card once all diagnostics have been completed on a handset.

Easily tested using a sound-recording app of some kind. "Calls" made over apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger etc are not handled by your phone or any mobile network as calls, but as data use.
