No mobile service for 24 hours

We have not had any mobile service in our village (PL13 2) for 24 hours now. There is nothing on your website or anything online to state what the issue is. Can’t phone or text to find out due to lack of service! 

Other networks are also down. Please advise how long this will take to come back on and what compensation I can get

Unlike TV, broadband & home phone where Virgin operate their own network, for mobile Virgin are just rebadging EE coverage (with some limitations).

So the best check you can make is with the EE faults checker - https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/networkchecker/checkservice 

Virgin have no direct control over how EE maintain their network, and if as you say, multiple networks are out-of-service, the problem could well be external to EE's control also.

Virgin use EE for signal. For future reference checking this link is the quickest way.

EE say they have recently fixed a problem in the area  

You may have to reboot your phone to re log on to the network

Thanks for all the info. 

EE are saying they are aware of the problem and it’s taking longer to fix than they hoped. 

Have tried a reboot and still no service 🙄
