No mobile internet

I changed my virgin mobile phone number about 6 weeks ago due to nuisance calls from work - since then I have had no mobile internet. I have contacted multiple times with poor communication and so far no resolution. Every time I speak to someone they imply the issue is with my phone - however my phone works fine with another sim and my sim doesn't work in another phone. Any help would be gratefully received as I am paying for a service I can not access!

Hey - who were you with before and what phone are you using? There is a carrier update usually when you switch providers so this could be the reason.

I was already with Virgin and phoned them to change my number

Sorry to hear that you have been having internet issues with your mobile. Can you confirm the following:

  • Does your mobile show at the top of the screen a mobile data symbol [2G,3G,LTE? for example]
  • Is the mobile data service switched on for the handset?
  • Have you rebooted the phone since the number change?
