No mobile connection since last night

I have lost all mobile connection. Yesterday I stopped getting the 4G icon at the top. Can't ring or send texts, why is this? I every now and then get a notification of no network connection, but mostly it disappears before I get to look at it. Every now and then I can ring in and out, but not send any texts or get data.

I've tried restarting several times, manual network connection. Nothing.

Your online coverage checker (which was down when I first posted this message) says I get 'Excellent' 4g signal in my postcode, if this is excellent then I'd hate to be in a lower coverage area. I need to hold my phone up in the air sometimes to get the signal.

The online coverage checker isn't a live snapshot of coverage.

Best to check the EE coverage checker (virgin get the phone service from them).

Possible that there's a local problem or maintenance.

If there is, you can register for updates.

If there isn't a problem reported, then it's more likely a sim or phone problem.
