No internet abroad (Holiday 3)

Can't enter the Related Device of Galaxy S7.

Anyway, I'm back in Malta and I have no mobile internet and I can't make mobile calls ('not registered on network'). Same as last time I was here.

I've tried changing networks and back to the virgin mobile one, restarted phone and no joy.

Thank you for getting in touch and other than the issues with your service at the moment, I hope you are having a lovely time in Malta. 

 

I see you have ran the network search as well as performing the reboots and this has not helped.  

Are you able to make/ receive calls and texts please?

 

Also, did you activate roaming t least 24 hours before leaving the UK please?

No text or data.

Data roaming has been enabled since my first Malta trip in May 2018.

Hi,

Fixed the mobile data. Spotted that the Network Mode had 4G disabled ( it was 3G/2G). Changed that and it is now working for mobile data, still no MMS.

I'm using this APN:

  • Name — Virgin Media Mobile Internet
  • APN — goto.virginmobile.uk
  • Proxy — Not Set
  • Port — Not Set
  • Username — user
  • Password — Not Set
  • Server — Not Set
  • MMSC — http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002
  • MMS proxy — 193.030.166.002
  • MMS port — 8080
  • MCC — 234
  • MNC — 30
  • Authentication type — PAP
