No incoming calls or SMS after number port

I've ported my number from Plusnet today and received a text to say everything had been done and the switch was complete. However, now I can't receive incoming calls or texts. 

When I dial the number it's just a continuous tone. 

How can I resolve this? I need to be contactable 24/7 for family reasons.

I have the same issue, I swapped from a SIM only Virgin plan to a new plan on Friday, phone Samsung S10 arrived Saturday - but it is useless as I cannot receive text or calls, data only.. I received a text to my old phone, advising the swap would be done today (1 July) - nope. I have a very expensive 5 inch tablet. I went online to check my account, and it is still showing my old plan. 

Checking the phone setting itself, it shows that the number is 'Unknown'. I have tried registering it to another network and resetting ti to Virgin, no joy. 

From reading - it seems this is a really common issue with Virgin. Why can't you guys resolve this?  I have no phone, what are you going to do about it?

I'm very sorry about the problems you experienced on Monday after receiving a text to confirm that your number port has been completed 

Have you been able to receive calls and texts since posting on our forum?

I'm very sorry that you also haven't been able to receive calls or texts since since switching to a new plan and receiving a new SIM card. 

Are you still experiencing the same problems or has the SIM switch now been completed?
